The Rockwood is a premium independent living community dedicated to providing vibrant, maintenance-free lifestyles for older adults. While their in-person experience was warm, welcoming, and community-focused, their digital presence wasn’t capturing that, and it was costing them valuable leads.

In mid 2024, we partnered with The Rockwood for a full digital refresh that started with what we do best, capturing authentic and compelling content on-site. We kicked things off with a half-day content shoot, where we filmed drone footage to showcase the beauty of their grounds and community spaces. Alongside the sweeping aerial shots, we captured powerful resident video testimonials; the kind of real, heartfelt stories that build trust and help future residents connect on a personal level.


This fresh content gave Rockwood’s digital presence a much-needed facelift and we didn’t stop at the website. We extended the content’s impact by repurposing it for social media, using a strategic mix of short-form video, behind-the-scenes footage, and quote graphics. This helped Rockwood increase reach organically while building trust and familiarity across channels like Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.


On the site itself, we paired this new content with a fully integrated, on-brand chatbot. This chatbot became a virtual guide, answering FAQs, recommending the right services, and capturing lead information all while featuring key video content in the conversation flow. The result was more time on-site, better engagement, and higher conversion rates.


With the content strategy humming, we focused on visibility. The Rockwood had never run paid search campaigns before, so we launched a focused Google Ads campaign with a slim $500/month budget. We used intent-rich keywords like “independent senior living near me” and “55+ communities in St.Louis,” while following Google’s best practices. We geofenced ads around the local area and built custom landing pages to match ad messaging creating a seamless, high-converting experience from click to inquiry.

By combining compelling content, platform-native engagement tools, and precision targeting, we turned Rockwood’s digital presence into a full-fledged lead engine, one that delivers results day and night.

Within just 60 days of launching the new digital strategy, Rockwood Senior Living saw a complete turnaround in online performance. What had once been a quiet online presence quickly became an active driver of qualified leads, site traffic, and real-time engagement.
